Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Leads and performs coding quality reviews for inpatient and
outpatient coding
Provides feedback and education on coding opportunities found
during account reviews
Coordinates training and education activities for coding staff and
assists in process improvement
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher
in HIM/HIT preferred
5 years of experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient coding
required
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered
Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist
(CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
Lead or supervisory experience preferred
4 or more years of healthcare experience in coding auditing
preferred
