Job Description:
Job Summary:
Be the face, voice and champion for recruiting a funnel of people
to inquire, apply and attend Elms College Continuing Education
programs (online programs and in-person programs). Handle all
pieces of recruitment, student support and student retention for
Holyoke Community College / Elms College students. Work schedule is
Tuesday through Saturday. Three to four days a week will be spent
at HCC Campus and one day a week will be spent on Elms College
Campus (subject to change - see duties/responsibilities for
detail).

The Office of Continuing Education and the Office of Graduate and
Continuing Education Admission support adult-learners taking their
next step in education to grow in their self-development and career
fields.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop solid relationships with the Community College including
students, faculty, advisors, Deans, etc. to support the growth of
the partner programs and Elms College students
· Responsible for retention-based tasks, duties, activities,
support, including but not limited to:
· Working knowledge of support programs/services available to
students
· Collaborating with Student Accommodations and Support Services
(SASS)
· Working with off-campus academic coordinators and classroom
instructors to encourage use of BrainFuse and the Tutoring
Center
· Executing visits to off-campus locations
· Supporting students and advisors during registration process
· Assist with new student on-campus and virtual Continuing
Education orientation and new faculty orientation sessions prior to
and/or during the first week of classes each session
· Handle all in person, phone and email communications with the
continuing education admission pipeline (prospect to enrolled) for
Holyoke Community College and other online assigned programs
· Become knowledgeable about Elms College, all of the continuing
education program and regional competition
· Create and collaborate with the CE team on all admissions pieces
used for outreach to suspects, applicants, staff, faculty and
companies in the area surrounding the community colleges and other
organizations related to the program fields
· Recognize and seek out opportunities to market and advertise
programs
· Establish partnerships - with businesses
· Host information tables, sessions, events at CC sites, in the
community, at company locations
· Expectation of two nights a month for evening hours
· *Meet or exceed admission recruitment goals set annually for new
enrollment by program and location
· Stay current with trends and developments in higher education
· Other duties as may be assigned by the Office of Continuing
Education and the Office of Graduate and Continuing Education

Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Confident presenting to small and large groups
Organizational, planning, interpersonal, administrative and
counseling skills.
Solid computer skills - Google programs (drive, etc.), proficiency
with Microsoft Office
Willingness to learn college systems such as Moodle, Ellucian and
other software systems as needed
Work collaboratively with a diverse population of students,
administrators, faculty, staff, and outside constituencies
Customer service
Self-motivated and works well with minimal supervision
Nonstandard work days/hours are subject to change based on
operational needs of the College
Reliable transportation - driver's license and good driving record
required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required
Prior work in Higher Education (prefer 2 years or more)
Admissions experience, recruiting experience or sales
experience
Supporting adult learners
Experience working with diverse population
