TYPE:Individual ContractSALARY:Per Individual ContractREPORTS TO:Supervisor of NursesOBJECTIVE:The COVID-19 Response Facilitator will work within the clinical service function of the Chicopee Public Schools. Provide ongoing support to the nursing staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under broad supervision, provide professional public health nursing services focusing on prevention and follow-up of positive cases within the Chicopee Public Schools and oversee all COVID-19 related operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Collaborate with the city of Chicopee Board of Health and the Supervisor of Nurses in regards to implementing, carrying out, and providing education regarding guidelines related to COVID-19 within the District.2. Manage COVID phone calls, determine quarantine and isolation times and dates, update the COVID tracker daily and as needed, notify school clinics of positive/close contact students/staff and potential RTS/RTW dates, and document accordingly in School Brains regarding the previous tasks, in a timely manner.3. Collaborate with the school nurses and building administrators.4. Provide excellent communication and customer service while putting parents, guardians, caregivers, and students at ease.5. Attend on-site/off-site community engagement activities, clinic events, and/or training as needed.6. Report vaccinations, testing, participant and other program statistics as required weekly or monthly for district.7. Perform other duties related to COVID-19 as assigned by the Supervisor of Nurses to assist the Chicopee Public School Nurses.

    • REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS1. Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed nurse in the State of Massachusetts (RN or LPN)2. Knowledge of COVID-19 preferred, but not required.3. Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google docs.4. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.5. Ability to work with a diverse team in a multi-disciplinary setting and establish effective working relationships with persons of varied backgrounds both lay and professional.6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.7. Self-motivated to plan, organize, and complete work accurately.ADA & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, adding machines, etc. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to stand, crouch and bend over for a long period of time at intervals throughout the day. Interpersonal Communication: Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information. Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a variety of technical or professional languages including medical, legal, accounting and marketing terminology. Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; to add and subtract; multiply and divide; utilize decimals and percentages; and to apply the principles of algebra and geometry. Form/Spatial Aptitude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width and shape. Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using office equipment. Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as office equipment and hand tools. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. Interpersonal: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations. Physical Communication: Requires the ability to talk and hear: (Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words. Hearing: perceiving nature of sounds by ear.) Must be able to communicate via telephone
