In this role, you will work with various teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of our SaaS and Enterprise databases. In this position will work on cutting edge technologies including AWS, Azure, and containers.MathWorks nurtures growth, appreciates diversity, encourages initiative, values teamwork, shares success, and rewards excellence.Partner with application development and infrastructure teams to design and build fast, reliable database infrastructure.Code, configure, integrate, and manage tools to enhance the database infrastructure.Propose and implement automation to eliminate manual operations.Participate in database and infrastructure deployment activities for applications hosted on-premises and in AWS and Azure.Support development, test, and production environments.Participate in rotating on-call support to ensure high availability of our business-critical applicationsMSSQL preferred but would consider: MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQLSQL Language expertisePublic Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, RDS, AzureSQL etc.)Powershell preferred, but would consider Python and other scripting languages Pluses:Configuration management tools: Ansible, Chef or PuppetMongoDB (or Amazon DocumentDB or Azure Cosmos)Exposure to Hibernate, Liquibase or MavenExperience with containers, Docker, and KubernetesVisa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.
