The National Remember our Troops Campaign is looking for compassionate, motivated, outgoing, self-starters to join our nonprofit military and veterans charity as a community veterans advocate, hosting fundraising events and tables at local-to-you venues such as festivals, trade shows, supermarkets, convenience stores, community garage sales " virtually anywhere that will allow us Why NROTC? Well, by joining our team, you will earn income, have fun AND contribute to a very noble cause " helping veterans who have fallen on hard times. NROTC is a 501(c)(3) military charity providing emergency financial assistance to homeless and otherwise disadvantaged veterans. We are the face behind the "Cards for Troops" program, which has been proven effective in suicide prevention in both veterans and active military members. NROTC is also proactive in combatting stress and PTSD and partners with others to provide recreational therapy to veterans and troops. NROTC offers an extremely flexible, self-scheduling Independent Contractor position (with the opportunity for advancement to a full-time, 100% home-based management position) based on YOUR availability and how far you're willing to travel. We GUARANTEE work in your area. While we do not offer benefits, this job does not come without its perks " such as free admittance to festivals, fairs, trade shows, etc. Although we especially love employing veterans, you do not have to be a veteran to work for us. You will be interacting with the public so this position is best suited for candidates who enjoy socializing. Responsibilities include preparing a Card-Signing Donation table and traveling to different venues to set up and oversee an NROTC fundraising table (you will also have the freedom to arrange other types of unique fundraisers such as bike runs, bake -ales, etc.). Initially, your Regional Manager will lay the groundwork for you securing locations that will allow us to set up fundraising tables. However, after your training is completed, you will be completely autonomous in regard to scheduling these events for yourself. There is no office to check in to so all prep work will be completed from the comfort of your own home, but you will be expected to check in via phone or email at stated intervals with your Regional Manager. Requirements are as follows: Must be 18+ years of age Must have access to or a collapsible, portable table Must have access to a color printer Must have transportation Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must have internet access and an email that you check daily Must have a mobile phone We offer same-day-as-event expense reimbursement for any required supplies (including gas mileage at 25 per mile), limited to up to 25% of an events donations, plus a generous 30% commission on donations collected, paid weekly via paper check. Due to NROTCs nonprofit status, income is capped at $2,000 per week. This can be part-time or full-time work.
