culinary passion and leadership in a dynamic kitchen environment.We
are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our culinary
team. This role is responsible for supporting the overall success
of our food program and managing daily culinary operations. The
ideal candidate will bring a blend of creativity, leadership, and a
commitment to excellence in food quality and presentation.In this
hands-on role, you will assist with planning, ordering, inventory
management, and food preparation, while ensuring compliance with
health regulations, client standards, and company expectations.
You'll also play a key role in training and leading the
back-of-house team to deliver an outstanding dining experience.Key
Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and participating in the preparation and
cooking of a variety of food items.
- Support menu planning and culinary development.
- Help launch new culinary initiatives in collaboration with the
marketing and culinary teams.
- Maintain cost controls and manage expenditures
effectively.
- Ensure adherence to sanitation, safety, and food quality
standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by
leadership.Qualifications:
- 5+ years of culinary experience, including at least 1 year in a
supervisory or management role.
- Background in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education,
healthcare, military, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, current culinary trends,
safety/sanitation regulations, and cost control practices.
- Ability to create and manage production sheets and kitchen
workflows.
- Effective leadership, training, and coaching skills.
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification
preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
