This position is full time1st and 2nd shift. We specialize in
manufacturing uniquely designed high tolerance precision machined
components and assemblies, with a focus on continuous improvement,
on-time delivery, and the highest possible quality and consistency.
Description of Responsibilities: Our primary machining areas
consist of 3-, 4-, and 5- axis milling along with interrex
mill-turn equipment. We are continually upgrading and adding new
machines to our shop, the most recent being a pair of Matsuura
MAM72-70V's each equipped with an 18-pallet tower system.
Responsibilities of the Machining Team Leader position include, but
are not limited: --- Machining Team Leader must be capable of
completing all tasks that a machinist performs, such as machine
setups, running machines and program edits on various CNC machines
such as, but not limited to 3-, 4-, or 5-Axis milling or Mill-Turn
(Multi-Tasking) machines. --- Capable of reading and interpreting
job package information and drawings and using shop measurement
devices and gauging to complete part inspections. --- Machining
Team Leader must execute the production schedule on the floor
within the machining department by assigning machinists and
managing workflow. --- Leads the initial training of newly hired
machinists along with the continued cross-training of existing
employees. --- Uses machining skillset to lead the troubleshooting
process when machinists cannot resolve setup or other technical
issues on their own. --- Ensures that job paperwork is being
completed properly and that all parts are accounted for on the shop
floor. --- Performs part quality and process checks and audits
regularly throughout the workday. --- Machining Team Leaders will
also monitor machinery and equipment status on the floor, drives
and checks to confirm daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks
are completed, and coordinates any repairs with maintenance. ---
Contributes to the New Product Introduction (NPI) team by providing
feedback on machining processes for new parts. --- Ensures that
when production runs are complete that setups are dismantled, and
tools, fixtures and gauging are returned to their proper locations.
--- Machining Team Leaders will also identify and implements
process improvements and participates in kaizens and other Cl
events. --- Within the scope of the job requirements, adhere and
comply with state and federal law, the Company AS9100 quality
program and procedures, company policies and Safety and
Environmental regulations. --- Perform other duties as assigned by
supervisor. Job Requirements:Required Experience: Minimum of 5
years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines such as
milling machines, mill-turns and / or lathes in a machine shop
environment. Strong technical, interpersonal, supervisory, and
organizational skills are required. --- - -High School Diploma or
GED. Technical/Vocational training desired. --- - -Proficient in
all aspects of machining. --- - -Demonstrated ability to follow
written and oral instructions with strong problem-solving skills.
--- - -Strong organization and time management skills. --- -
-Computer literate with experience in Windows based programs and
shop ERP systems. --- - -Strong interpersonal communicating skills
with all levels of employees, both verbally and written. --- -
-Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to
adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and
algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication. --- -
-Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, if needed. --- -
-Ability and willingness to train and develop employees. --- -
-Possess improvement ideas such as process, CNC programs and
