Job Description Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Opening in Troy, NYAlbany 7mWe are seeking an inpatient geriatric Psychiatrist to join our adult inpatient behavioral health team. Enjoy working with outstanding colleagues, strong system support, and a collaborative, physician-friendly environment.Hospital offers a comprehensive behavioral health program featuring 63 inpatient beds across three specialized units, including a dedicated 20-bed Gero-Psychiatry unit. Our interdisciplinary team delivers compassionate, patient-centered care that addresses the complex medical, psychiatric, and social needs of older adults.Highlights Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients on a 20-bed Geriatric-Psychiatry unit Supported by a full-time Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker with specialized geriatric-psychiatry training Join a highly supportive team of therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends Stable, full-time psychiatrist presence on the Geriatric-Psychiatry unit Collaborative environment with excellent care coordinationRequirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred but not required Experience working in an inpatient behavioral health setting preferred DEA licensure and New York State medical license (or eligibility) required Excellent clinical skills, strong communication skills, and commitment to team-based care New and recent graduates are encouraged to applyComprehensive Compensation Package: Competitive base salary including starting bonus; Compensation is between $310,000 and $350,000 The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above. Relocation assistance is available.
