registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide expert nursing care
in a specialized stepdown unit focused on complex neurological and
surgical patients. This contract opportunity is ideal for
experienced RNs skilled in managing high-acuity cases involving
advanced monitoring and post-surgical care. The position offers a
36-hour per week day/night rotational schedule within a 10-bed
progressive care setting, treating conditions such as neuromuscular
disorders, meningitis, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury,
and post-operative tumor resections. Key Qualifications and
Experience: Proven proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and
invasive blood pressure management via arterial lines Competence
with ventilator support for trach and Bi-PAP / C-PAP patients in
neuro- and intermediate-stepdown care units Familiarity with
managing low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, inotropes,
mannitol, and hypertonic saline (3%) Skilled in care of complex
wounds and management of multiple lines, tubes, and drains,
including ventriculostomies, subdural, and lumbar drains Experience
supporting patients involved in clinical trials such as Normal
Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) Ability to effectively care for a
broad surgical patient population including brain, spine, and head
and neck cancer surgeries Work Schedule: 36 hours per week
