Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare institution

seeks a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse II for our General
Surgery Trauma B3 Unit. This position involves providing top-tier
nursing care to patients experiencing general surgical and trauma
conditions while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to
coordinate treatment plans and enhance patient outcomes. Ideal
candidates will have a robust understanding of general surgical
processes and trauma management, demonstrating a commitment to
compassionate care. Assess patient health problems and needs,
develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical
records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or
disabled patients. Advise patients on health maintenance and
disease prevention or provide case management. Maintain a safe and
clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and
regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or
provide treatment. Support patient and family education on recovery
techniques and in-hospital care adaptations. Proficiency in
managing patient care technology and electronic health records.
Strong understanding of general surgical procedures and trauma
care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of
a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Medical Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse
(RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certification preferred.
