Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Med Surg - Discipline:RN - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, days - Employment Type:Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Med/Surg Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Saratoga Springs, NY. Travelers can earn up to $2,098.8 per week for this role. Job Function: - Day Shift & Night Shift. - 3x12: 7:30am - 7pm / 7pm - 7:30am. - Prepares, administers (orally, subcutaneously, or through an IV), and records prescribed medications. - Reports any adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy for medication administration by a licensed registered nurse. - Educates patients about surgical procedures. - Records patients’ medical information and vital signs. - Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting and recording electronic displays. - Job Requirements: - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). - Current RN license for the state of New York. - 2 years of acute Med/Surg RN experience required. - BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. - EPIC system experience is required.
