Description: Our client, centrally located in Melville, is looking for a medical assistant on a temp to hire basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor vitals and document in patient records
Assist with intake, prep, gowning, and post-visit follow-ups
Prepare exam rooms and supplies
Communicate effectively with RNs, PAs, and MDs
Support patient education and maintain confidentiality
Ensure infection control and sterilization procedures are followed
Handle patient transport, scheduling, and basic administrative duties
Uphold safety and emergency preparedness standards

Qualifications:

High school diploma required
At least 2 years of experience as a medical assistant, certification preferred
Experience in a surgical or aesthetics setting a big plus
BCLS certified
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Comfortable with physical demands, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting

Work Schedule & Pay:

Hours: Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Thursdays until 7 p.m.) with a half hour lunch

Pay Range: $22-25/hour based on experience
