U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry.The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for the overall environmental, health, and safety of the facility. Responsible for regulatory compliance with all Federal, State and local authorities as it applies to these topics. Manage the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and conformance to the ISO 14001 standard.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.Manage and complete all the company's EHS regulatory reporting requirements, working with consultants to submit by required dates, and maintain on file as required.Develops, implements and audits site-specific initiatives to engage all employees in the safety and health programs in support of annual business line objectives.Ensures all employees are trained in required EH&S programs. Develops a local EH&S support structure that fosters employee engagement from the hourly associates to the leadership staff.Develops a culture that identifies health and safety opportunities and documents those for trends and predictive analysis.Performs hazard risk analysis, determination of effective controls and risk mitigationFacilitates the Safety Steering Committee comprised of management team members and provides leaderships and advised management on ways to mitigate EHS Risk and continuously improve our EHS Program In addition support department safety inspections with a cross functional team of Management, Manufacturing Engineer and CBA employees.Promote, develop, and establish health and safety programs, policies, and procedures that are related to the EHS program, provide training as necessary for all employees.Leads safety incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions.Division liaison with corporate related to property and casualty insurance, site visits and claims review.Management representative for the EMS program, and maintain ISO14001 certification with external auditing serviceLeads EMS program has the site HAZMAT Team Chief and facilitate needed revisions to the EMS after audits and regulatory changes.Manager and administer OSHA required administrative recordkeeping of all recordable workplace accidents to maintain regulatory compliance.Act as site Risk Management Program Coordinator to advise facility of regulatory changes that would apply to the facility through regular compliance reviews. Provide sufficient notice to assure proper compliance by the effective date of new regulations.Support and respond to EHS related request from customer and parent company in Japan.Establishes and manages ergonomic, injury case management and return to work programsMaintain and improve overall facility security program, to provide a safe workplace for all employees, and to control of vendors and contractors as they perform their services.Oversee the selection and ongoing service of third-party security service for off-shift protection..

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or in a Health and Science discipline required7 -10 years of related work experience with in-depth knowledge of environmental, safety, occupational health policies, practices, procedures and laws and a broad understanding of EHS principles applicable to operation of the business in the manufacturing environment.5 - 7 years' experience in high volume manufacturing which includes key safety and environmental issues.Ability to influence leadership across functionally, and at many levels from shop floor to senior leadership.Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.Transparent, results oriented, and accountable with strong employee and customer focusMust be passionate about results gained the right way, through the development of people and processesAbility to work effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing, transforming environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Immediate Microsoft Office Experience with emphasis in Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.Strong at planning, organizing and managing multiple priorities.Advanced understanding of OSHA Regulations and General Industry StandardsAppropriate urgency when it comes to reacting to safety concernsConnect well with others and possess an approachable demeanorAbility to put differences aside, dealing with difficult situationsDemonstrate genuine concern for employeesWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
