Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious machine operator to manage and maintain articulated arm and gantry robotic systems used in the automated manufacturing of various industrial seals. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with robotic systems, a strong understanding of industrial automation, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize robotic operations, along with experience in QA/QC of finished products. This position is on the second shift, with two weeks of training on first. Responsibilities Operate and monitor articulated arm and gantry robots for tasks such as welding, assembly, packaging, or material transport. Perform routine inspections to ensure optimal robot performance. Load and unload materials or components into robotic systems. Adjust robot parameters and programming as needed to meet production requirements. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain accurate logs of robot performance, downtime, and maintenance activities. Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulations. Essential Skills 6 months of experience operating industrial robots, preferably articulated arm and gantry systems. Experience using calipers and micrometers. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automation systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Why Work Here? Work Environment The production floor is clean and climate-controlled. Training will occur on the first shift for approximately 2-3 weeks, after which candidates will move to the second shift. There are 4-5 operators on the floor, and candidates will work with a lead operator/fabricator for training and daily duties. The first shift runs from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, and the second shift runs from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Overtime ranges from 5-20 hours per week, depending on workload. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niskayuna, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
