non-union employee groups. Position Purpose Responsible for the
effective supervision of personnel and equipment for the
construction, operation, maintenance and inspection of the
Company’s overhead and underground electric transmission and
distribution systems during both scheduled and emergency
situations. Also responsible for the design and completion of
projects in accordance with company construction standards and
state and federal codes, while ensuring the reliable, efficient and
safe delivery of electric distribution service to customers.
Responsible for the planning and scheduling of such projects to
ensure timely completion and within acceptable budgetary
tolerances. Professionally interact with customers, regulatory
authorities, and employees to ensure the company satisfactorily
meets their needs. Principal Accountabilities Time % End Results
50% Crew Supervision: Organizes and supervises the work of field
crews to ensure safe, efficient and effective performance. Develops
and maintains scope, schedules and budgets for personnel,
materials, and other resources as required to ensure the timely
completion of budgeted construction, operation, and maintenance
projects. Ensures that system operation, construction and
maintenance activities comply with all federal, state, and local
regulations, and company standards. Accountable for crew
performance including quality and quantity of work. Oversee the
daily activities of employees. Use a cost effective approach in
scheduling crews and assigning personnel to specific projects.
Directs emergency response to interruptions of electric service.
Effectively supervise union personnel while adhering to collective
bargaining agreements. Effectively supervise Contract personnel
performing bid or hourly work, on the Electric System Ensure
employees comply with company safety practices and procedures.
Ensure employees comply with company policies and procedures.
Ensures the timely and accurate completion of all necessary
records, timesheets, paperwork, and documentation needed for
accounting, regulatory, asset management, and related purposes. 30%
Project Planning and Coordination (Maintenance and Construction):
Responsible for overall coordination and supervision of the
planning of projects associated with the maintenance and
construction of the distribution and transmission system. These
responsibilities include: Design. Prepare cost estimates Prepare
construction planners for projects including material requirements.
Prepare authorizations. Ensures successful cross-boundary interface
with other functional areas in the value chain including
procurement & inventory, plant records, plant accounting,
engineering, and customer service. Utilizes scheduling, tracking,
and reporting mechanisms to ensure the timely and cost effective
completion of budgeted projects and associated expenditures.
Complete as-built drawings and associated project paperwork to
ensure accurate and timely closeout. 10% Operational Performance:
Prepares, maintains, and analyzes statistics and schedules to
measure departmental performance with relationships to safety,
reliability and production. Develop, recommend, and implement work
practices and processes that will result in improved system
reliability. Prepares, maintains, and analyzes statistics and

budgeted projects and associated expenditures. Monitor and track
operations and maintenance expenditures relating to overhead and
underground maintenance and other related responsibilities. 10%
Leadership and Training: Develops and maintains a high performance

the development and administration of training programs to ensure
that electric system employees are qualified to perform duties
safely and effectively, and in compliance with OSHA regulations. As
Needed Capitalizes on unplanned opportunities and responds to
unforeseen situations; undertakes and completes assignments and
special projects as assigned by management. Collaborates with other
supervisors within the Operations group and provides assistance and
auxiliary support in their absence. Qualifications Associates
Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent work experience. 5
years of progressively responsible experience, including proven
supervisory experience. Must accept supervisory standby on rotation
basis. Must reside within a specified geographic area and be
available for duties during times of system emergencies. Requires
CDL and Driver Qualification File Will be drug tested under the
